CHOOSE FUNDRAISING GOAL

Choose a fundraising goal. You selected a goal when you registered, here you can see the breakdown for how many student scholarships each goal amount provides! If this isn’t your first Golf Marathon, make a stretch goal - pick something a little higher than what you raised last year!

• $1,250 | Provides 5 Student Scholarships

• $2,500 | Provides 10 Student Scholarships

• $5,000 | Provides 20 Student Scholarships

• $10,000 | Provides 40 Student Scholarships

For a $2,500 goal, brainstorm at least 40 people to ask.

For $5,000, brainstorm 40 people + 1 corporate gift.

For $10,000, brainstorm 40 people + 2 corporate gifts.

This is the week to message everyone on your potential donor list asking them to sponsor you. Individual messages usually work best, but you can decide if email or text works best for that potential donor. Here’s an example message you can tailor to suit you. Make sure to edit the sections [in brackets] and check that the link at the end is working before you hit send!

Greek InterVarsity’s Golf Marathon raises funds to provide scholarships for students to attend Greek Conference, which has enabled over 15,000 students to encounter and follow Jesus for over 30 years. Greek IV’s hope is that if they can reach these students during 4 of the most formative years of their life, they can transform their next 40 years!

Every year, Greek InterVarsity hosts two National events. One is a fundraiser called Golf Marathon.

Our commitment is that money shouldn’t keep anyone from this experience with Jesus. That’s why we raise a significant pool of scholarship money through Golf Marathon.

We’re always looking for Corporate Sponsorships to underwrite the event so that we can free up as much money as possible for student scholarships. Would you consider a Corporate sponsorship of $1,250 (5 scholarships), $2,500 (10 scholarships), or $5,000 (20 scholarships)?
